Waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith. Whether we are waiting for healing, direction, peace, or answered prayers, the silence can feel overwhelming. Yet throughout Scripture, God continually reminds His people that waiting is not wasted.
In tonight’s devotional, Sophia Bricker reflects on Micah 7:7 and the posture of hopeful expectation. Even when nothing appears to be changing, God is still moving behind the scenes. Seasons of waiting are often seasons where trust grows deepest.
Instead of allowing frustration to consume us, we can use these moments to pray, reflect on Scripture, and draw near to the Lord. God’s timing is always purposeful, even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
Scripture
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” — Micah 7:7
Encouragement
Your waiting season is not proof that God has forgotten you. Sometimes the quietest seasons are where God is preparing the greatest growth. Keep watching with expectation. He hears you.
Prayer
Lord, help me trust You while I wait. When answers feel delayed and life feels uncertain, remind me that You are still working. Teach me to wait with faith instead of fear and expectation instead of frustration. In Jesus’ name, amen.
